graduation of fools

yesterday was actually the second day in my entire undergraduate period that i saw my vice chancellor, the first being when he welcomed me to his kingdom of books more books and knowledge. he was here to launch new ICT platforms that are supposed to make Maseno one of the best if not the best ICT enhanced institutions. i owe a lot to this man, i wouldn't be blogging for timely introduction of free wireless Internet access for all students .
More appalling however was the 'colossal mix of fools' quoting my room mate that decided to blur the occasion, the rot on the cake rather than the icing on the cake, an aggregate of all Campus blonds, egomaniacs assuming seemingly important positions behind the revered professor of solid state physics, i couldn't help but wonder how small things have the ability to ruin generally promising occasions.
Part of my responsibility as a social political commentator allows me to express my disdain and all individuals who trot around in campus with Maseno polo shirts pretending to be important while they are actually not, their purpose in such events in common football lexicon is that they are surplus to requirement, we could do without them without noticing that they are actually absent.
On a more upbeat yesterday i also had an opportunity to lay my eyes on the great Professor William Ochien'g, a personal idol. have yourselves a nice day.

that reminds i read about the sensational of a man who was credited for helping immmenesly develop the coffee industry in kenya, he attended a function which the founding nation was also attending. he said unto himself i shall not sit next to the mzee for when i do so, i will be told to vacate this sit for a venerable man in society. when he finally settled in the crowd kenyatta was very angry that he was not invited at the high table and thus requested a man to vacate so he might dine with this man. lesson it is what you do that distinguishes you, not who or what you think you are.
