a cadaver on kenyan football.

I have finally fallen for the lust to blog, i have been fighting internal battles within myself since i know that i am busy and blogging at this time of the semester of the semester ain't among my priorities. but somethings just can't go on unblogged.

i will start by thanking the entire media fraternity for re-invigorating passions for local soccer. the likes of radio jambo, kiss and the rest. indeed the fans are back in the in the stadium stands in droves.

i will also thank Ulinzi stars, my revered military soccer outfit for their emphatic victory over the tyranny of Gor Mahia fans. At least i don't have to put up with the ever boastful 'mayienga mayienga' chants.

i will also perhaps express my desire for the formation of a Pan-Kikuyu soccer outfit named Mumbi United Football club of Kenya.

the ensuing events in the Kenya Premier League should act as wake up call to the goons and cronies that run kenyan football is up. indeed we need efficient and prudent leadership of Kenyan Football in order to ensure that the newly flourishing love for local football is sustainable. Kudos Ulinzi.

graduation of fools

yesterday was actually the second day in my entire undergraduate period that i saw my vice chancellor, the first being when he welcomed me to his kingdom of books more books and knowledge. he was here to launch new ICT platforms that are supposed to make Maseno one of the best if not the best ICT enhanced institutions. i owe a lot to this man, i wouldn't be blogging for timely introduction of free wireless Internet access for all students .
More appalling however was the 'colossal mix of fools' quoting my room mate that decided to blur the occasion, the rot on the cake rather than the icing on the cake, an aggregate of all Campus blonds, egomaniacs assuming seemingly important positions behind the revered professor of solid state physics, i couldn't help but wonder how small things have the ability to ruin generally promising occasions.
Part of my responsibility as a social political commentator allows me to express my disdain and all individuals who trot around in campus with Maseno polo shirts pretending to be important while they are actually not, their purpose in such events in common football lexicon is that they are surplus to requirement, we could do without them without noticing that they are actually absent.
On a more upbeat yesterday i also had an opportunity to lay my eyes on the great Professor William Ochien'g, a personal idol. have yourselves a nice day.

campus nelogisms

i have been in campus for quite along now. But of things in campus i believe that campus language is the most dynamic and most interesting to document and follow. I am documenting the language developed by a few of my friends and and i can't help but be baffled by their ingenuity.

My friend Joe calls buns prepared outside the campus cafeteria 'mandazi omena' obviously from his unproved hypothesis that they are prepared with used cooking fat used for preparing fish. My  room mate on the other hand them mandazi mwitu. From calling girls 'nyau' i think campus language is the most dynamic a sure way to express oneself for young men in a differential world.

to the god of science and technology

Am wondering whom to curse, my sheer ignorance, KPLC or the fact the charger to my beloved computer costs at least 10% of its market value. Now if you are superstitious like me you'd think that i never poured libation to the gods of the gadgets i mean how does my charger blow up after only one year in service. but what hhurts me the most is the idea that i was so casual with it, never showed tender loving care now i am left with option of using a patch up from another brand which might degenerate my battery the more, this is a third world country i should have known better than trust erratic power from this KPLC blonds.
